Newsflash

With the possibility of winter weather finally arriving we must keep in mind the condition of the trail path out there on the trails. Crews have been out marking and are about 95% done. We are finishing up some clubs trails possibly this weekend. IF we get enough snow to open the trails we will post it here as soon as trails can be opened. You must remember we have had a very wet fall. Farmers have left deep ruts in many of the fields. We need a lot of snow to fix this. We have not had any snow to speak of this winter and many of us have not ridden so please keep this in mind. Watch here for further updates.

Hope everyone had a great Holiday season and a Happy New Year.   It’s hard to believe we are half way through January and still no snow.   We are still working on holding a Winter Snow Bash for sometime in February.  This event will feature a dice run, vintage show, and live music.   More details to follow shortly.  The trails are almost complete with the only section not marked being the new trail to Hickory Ridge.  This will be completed within the week.  If and when we do get snow, please be extremely careful out on the trails.  Our trails go through a lot of plowed fields with big ruts and some rocks.  We have removed as many of the obstacles as possible, but it is impossible to get them all.  Again, please be careful and travel slowly.   The club will be providing pizza and wings on Thursday, January 19th at the Barre Sportsman Club.  Hope to see you all there.  Until then, think snow!

Membership:  Remember you can join on line through our club website or attend a meeting and sign up with Nina Gurnsey.  If the price is keeping you away, please talk to one of our directors.

Trails:  The trail system is 95% complete.  The last trail to be marked is the new trail to Hickory Ridge which will be completed within the week.   Due to the wet weather, the fields we cross have a lot of ruts.  Drive slowly.  It will take several trips on the groomers until our trail system is smooth.

Groomers:  The groomers have been started and are awaiting the snow.  If interested in grooming, please contact Gary Brien.

Vintage Sleds:  We are hoping our Winter Snow Bash will lead to some new members who will help promote vintage rides and shows.
